Customer Review: Great little GIZMO!

Bought this when it went down to $49.99, and it was love at first try. It is so handy, and the kids love getting a little photo instantly (the polaroid effect). Here are a few things to keep in mind:
1) most of the film that you will find now (until Christmas) will be expired - I called Polaroid, and they said they are not discontinuing the line, but they will not be sending out more film until Christmas 2009. you can buy film directly from polaroid - and they stated it won't be expired. Truth is - I bought 2 30 packs from Target yesterday (that were expired - at a discount), and they came out fine.
2) this is best used when you have an outlet - it is true - it doesn't last long on one charge
3) you can use your camera USB cord, or anything that is Bluetooth enabled (even your phone or computer). The code is 6000 (I missed that on the instructions that I threw away). I used to think that I couldn't use anything that didn't have a USB cord, but I was wrong - great thinking on the Bluetooth!
4) photos are best when they are facial closeups. Far away shots just don't look so great on 2x3 film
5) photos take around 20-30 sec to come out - and yes - the paper is hard to destroy, and no ink mess!

Hey, do these things expire or not? Amazon's product page claims that these do not expire. Yet, the box I received has an expiration date on it. This date is covered with a white sticker. So who has the final word on this?Customer Review: Zink photo paper expiration Date too close to expiring

Just received this product from Amazon today 9/25/09 with POGO printer and case on same order which was shipped on 9/23/09 (great service on shipping)
Amazon states product is 80 PAK NON-EXPIRING ZINK PAPER but side of box had white sticker covering an expiration date of 02/2010. Paper that came with printer on same order (2-10 packs) had 10/09 expiration date. That paper had streaks when printing and also faded colors. I opened 02/2010 paper and it was fine so far. Amazon should check on these old dated paper that comes with printer and why cover up the date on 80 pak? They should let customer know what expiration date will be. Should not ship old paper.I quit using the old paper. (20 sheets) Will send another review after I have used the new dated (02/2010) paper in coming weeks.

i got the 80 pack one
also one very important thing to mention
i notice that the 30 pack ones are getting low ratings due to its expiration dates.
some people got theirs expired
but LUCKY for me, mines will last to feb of 2010.
soo im very happy that its not expired!

I received expired photo paper and when I went to try and return it, the shipping costs made up over half of the cost of the product so I didn't pursue. I would not recommend buying this product from Amazon.
