This product is as described and of good quality. Functionally it is seriously flawed. The spring loaded grippers are not very secure and the hood pops off the lens very easily. Any bump, even setting the camera down on a table, can dislodge the hood. In addition, the inside rim of the hood where a spring loaded lens cap makes contact is not ridged or textured, meaning the lens cap easily and frequently pops out of the hood.
The alternative is a screw on hood, which is fiddly and a pain to use if one is attaching filters or an add-on lens. Then there is always the manufacturer's (Olympus in my case) bayonet mount hood which does not come with their $500 lens and is priced well into rip-off territory (about $30 as I recall).
Still looking for a functional and reasonably priced solution. Maybe a used Olympus copy which goes on and off easily and can be stored reversed on the lens.

Instructions#1- Gently Press 2 Locking Buttons On the bottom of the hood
#2- While Keeping buttons depressed place hood on to the threaded area of your lens or filter
#3- When hood is in position release buttons to lock in place
