I know nothing about Lightscribe but I bought these disks based on the positive reviews and excellent price.
I have a brand new 3 week old PC. I put the disk in and my software came back with an error saying that it was not Lightscribe media. All the disks I tried resulted in the same error message. I then Googled "Lightscribe software" and found this page, http://www.lightscribe.com/downloadSection/index.aspx . I downloaded and installed the latest Windows drivers and the disks were now recognized. Now I had just loaded my burners software 3 weeks ago and updated it to the latest but I still had to update the Lightscribe drivers to get things to work so if you are having troubles with these or any other Lightscribe disks I suggest that you go to this link and update your drivers.
Having said all that the disks perform fine. I've not used Lightscribe before so I cant compare and comment on the quality of the labeling but it looks fine to me.
